I n what mood am I today? Something from my today's experience reminded me of something in the past? Or I just remembered something and music from the past takes me back. Or I just want to listen to that song I liked once. See if you remember this one: Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Relax Some songs we discover with the films that we watch as a film soundtracks. It is the case for me with Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Relax. Those who come from Eastern European block and who lived there at the the end of 80's may remember the Czech film "Bony a klid" with Relax soundtrack in it. Showing changing youth lifes in these countries at the end of the 80's were first signs of opening to changes in these countries and coming with until then more limited western culture. Russian film "Litte Vera" is also from the same period. Phil Collins Miami Vice - In The Air Tonight Scene For me as a Lithuanian Polish television was another window to opening Western culture. Spending a month or so every summer with my grandparents from time to time I visited my uncle's family who lived in the town nearby. Having some time I went through the casettes at the time and I found one with Samanta Fox one side and Tom Hooker on the other side. Samanta Fox some songs I knew already but Tom Hooker album "Bad Reputation" was new to me. Italo disco style, I did not look for the recording after returning home but when being there this was my favourite album to listen to. I did not share this discovery with anybody and it was left a bit aside to listen to on occassion when visiting my uncle.

See if you remember this one: Madonna - Like A Prayer (Official Music Video) Kylie Minogue - In My Arms (Official Video) "So do you have any recordings to give to me to listen?" the same friends asks me. As a "serious music expert" who was receiving a lot of recordings aprart from his friends I happened to have Madonna's one album and Kylie Minogue's one of the first pure pop recordings and maybe something else to propose against Rush, Metallica, Yes, etc.  "Madonna one can listen to, but Kylie Minogue is really... I don't remember the exact words" was the evaluation. Oh well. And actually Madonna I really liked at the time and her liberal attitude attracted me in my restricted everyday life. And for Kylie Minogue, remembe

See if you remember this one: Rush-Superconductor (Lyrics) Rush-Lock & Key (Lyrics) After this romantic turn of nice songs let's turn to something more complex. I don't know how but my class friend digged out this group Rush. A bit critical in the beginning I gradually started to like the music of the group and could only wonder how my class friend could find,  evaluate and appreciate their music. Have to be a good music expert to understand this. What I find on the internet is that the group performed complex compositions by very professional musicians. For me it is also a very strictly and well organised songs with meaningful lyrics. In my sometimes chaotic and easily irritated mind this seemed  quite admirable. Now listening to the some of these son
